Film Sound

I find that recording sound on set for film productions is just as interesting as working in the studio. These are a few highlights from previous jobs I’ve done.

Inside The Bag

/Vogue

Dir. Andrew Rothschild
Role: Sound Recording on Set/Location

What could I say? Posh Spice herself. Fashion shoots are always so easy and fun, at least for me. But seriously, there is always very little time to work when you are on set with VIPs. I’m glad everything ran so incredibly smooth in this shoot.

Kook Mike Goes Surfing

Dir. Rob Bryn
Role: Sound supervisor / Sound Editor / Foley / ADR / S. Design

This is a great short film and I took care of all the sound in it. My friend Rob Bryn, singer from Wild Yaks, shot this surreal master piece with the participation of the community that Surf and Live in Rockaway beach, NY. It was screened at the 2023 Rockaway Film Festival.

Vman

Dir. Marcus Ohlsson
Role: Sound Recording on Set/Location

I enjoy working in Fashion shoots. They are always more lighthearted than other kinds of gigs. Marcus was super nice and fun to work with and the kids were very charismatic. That definitely made my job easier.

Doritos / MTV Vmas Ft. A$AP Ferg

Dir. Omar Akil
Role: Sound Recording on Set / Boom op

This one was really fun. I had to walk backwards together with the camera crew and the gaffer, while recording and operating the boom in order to get the shot. I’m also a fan of the A$AP Mob.

NFL Super Bowl Babies Choir Ft. Seal

Dir. Lance Acord
Role: Sound Recording on Set/Boom op

It was very cool watching a cinematographer like Lance in action. I was supposed to do only BTS, but then he ended up asking me for the sound to use it :) unfortunately I didn’t get to meet Seal, that was the San Francisco unit.

Game Change Game

Dir. Spike Jordan
Role: Sound Recording on Set

A very interesting project in a pivotal moment in America. I had the chance to record interviews not only with very important people in Basketball but also with key people working to find change in America’s most important social issues.

Artisans of Craft / Matt Hranek

Dir. Marcus Burnett
Role: Sound Recording on Set/Location

This one is my favorite in a series of mini-documentaries I worked on for Golf Apparel brand Peter Millar.

RFK: The Kennedy Family Remembers

Client: A&E
Role: Sound Recording on Set

It was extremely interesting to hear the perspective of Bobby Kennedy’s family on his life and on American politics. A true insight into the social and political issues of the 60s.

The Sisterhood

Dir. Matt Allen
Role: Sound Recording on Set/Location

I feel very proud of having been part of this documentary. Director Matt Allen followed the Seward Park Cheerleading team in their race to compete nationally, against all odds and expectations. A real New York City story available as a miniseries on Peacock.

FENDI X SKIMS

Role: Sound Recording on Set/location

There’s not much to this one. I just wanted to show off that I got to follow Kim Kardashian and Kim jones around, in their campaign for Fendi X Skims. I love Fashion gigs.

KIDSUPER / WDYWTDBYD

Dir. Colm Dillam
Role: Sound Recording on location

This project was a little hectic but very fun. Again, Fashion shoots are always more lighthearted and this is a brand I particularly like.

The Weeknd - In The Night

Dir. BRTHR
Role: Playback sound

This is an old one and I only did Playback Sound on it, but it’s a personal highlight. It was very cool to watch directors BRTHR work and to hangout with Abel and Bella for a whole night. The video is inspired by Chinese arthouse films.

Ref 29 / Sound Off / Princess Nokia

Dir. Megan Doyle
Role: Sound Recording On Set/Location

A few years ago I did a lot of work for Refinery 29. Specifically on a series called Sound Off, I think it was pretty cool. This one is my favorite of the ones I got to work on. Especially because I really like Princess Nokia’s music.
